The Sanya team had the worst possible start to the China GP. Already in free practice the problems started. First out was fuel problems with some pumps and eletric issues. Pal and Marit did only three laps before the Grand Prix today. On the parade lap just before the race their boat stopped. It was a ECU (eletric computer in the engine) that was the problem. This ment a "did not start" entry and driving back to the pits.
Pal says: I'm incredibly disappointed. We were promised a "turn key" raceready boat but have equipment that still need a lot of service and maintenance. Our technicians working around the clock and doing a great job. Yet popping one failure up after the other. It's just so frustrating. The bugs destroys all work with what we are supposed to spend time on. Namely driver training, gears and propellers opportunities. It has not been time for that unfortunately. Therefor setup is not properly and the speed gets poor around the track.
I hope that bad luck has run out and that we will run the entire race 2 in tomorrow.
