Pål Virik Nilsen will make a return to Class-1 offshore world powerboat series, already in the opening round in Abu Dhabi 13-15 april. He will take the throttles alongside Italian Giorgio Manuzzi in the British team "Chris Parsonage Racing".
Pål says: I am very happy to recieve this chance with Giorgio to make a return in the world series. I look forward to the challenge, and know the Victory boat and Lamborghini engine package from before. That because Maritimo has the sister boat running in the Australian series, and we had one race in it last year with the new one still in the building process.
- For me it was important to have a open chat with my regular driver Tom Barry-Cotter and Maritimo team since we have a long term plan together, and its no secret that Maritimo will make a comeback in WC 2012.
- They think its a good thing that i get more seat time in a C1 boat. Its also good because i get the feel of the new rules in the boat and competitor wise as well. I will also countinue to race the Australian series, so it can be a busy and interesting season.

Giorgio Manuzzi and Pål Virik Nilsen was team mates in Maritimo team 2009. They know each other quite good and had some testing together in Dubai.
