In todays Abu Dhabi GP Pal Virik Nilsen and Giorgio Manuzzi got 7 th place. They stoppet on the last lap but luckily kept the point for the World Championship due to the 70% rule. But changes needs for sure to be done on the boat before the race tomorrow.
The ten lap GP was not action free when Relekta rolled over in a corner. The same boat Pal and Tom Barry-Cotter crashed in Dubai in 2008. Both drivers okay after the crash today. Now the team of Chris Parsonage must do some changes to the boat setup, because they want more than this.
Pal says: Yes, we can for sure better than this. We have struggled a lot so far this week with many things. It take always some time for a team with new people to get organized and fit. Thing gets better so i am positive anyway. In the race we had the outside line of the field so thats not the best. We arrived the inside breakwater in the back of the fleet. The top speed was there but we had absolutely no acceleration at all. Therefor we struggled the hole race to make any progress. On the second last lap we stopped due to some engine problems. But i am happy that we secured som point for the championship. Now we just focus on tomorrows race.. New chance!
