2022 XCAT Team Maritimo
In 2022 Pal signed a two year deal with World Champions Maritimo Racing from Australia. That made a Pal and Tom Barry-Cotter reunion. Last time was back in 2015 in the Goald Coast XCAT team.

2019 XCAT Team Australia
2019 season was the last one in Team Australia. Mid season after Fujairah and Stresa reace Pal got seriously sick and could not race more that year. Treatment and rebuild forced him to stay out of the sport for one year.

2009 Class-1 Team Maritimo
In 2009 Pal was once again racing with Maritimo Offshore from Australia. The season was a big challenge because a brand new boat was brought to the world championship. A lot of time was used to develop the equipment. It got better and better.

2008 Class-1 Team Maritimo
2008 season was a mixed one with racing in both the Class-1 WC and the Australian series. Pal and Tom won the title in Australia and raced the Norwegian round in Arendal and two world championship races in the middle east.

In 2007 Pal was throttleman in Spirit Of Norway. He started his partnership with Tom Barry Cotter from Australia. A great season with some downs due to mechanical problems, but mostly ups in a memorable season.

2005 Class-1 Team Roscioli Hotels
Pal Virik Nilsen got his Class-1 debut in Scandinavian Grand Prix in Trondheim with Roscioli Hotels. Alongside Pal was the Italian expirienced throttleman Nicola Giorgi. A short visit to the Class with a big crash on second practice for the duo. The boat was very damaged but pilots okay!

Pal raced in 2005 the Offshore Class 3C series. He competed together with navigator Ulrik Hasle and they did a very god season with many victories. But also some crashes....

2004 Class 3c Team Stihl
In 2004 Pal created a Class 3 team and used a Finish built Twister catamaran with 2,5 litre Mercury engine. After a big crash in testing before the season the boat got rebuilt and the season was good with several victories during the season. Pal was racing together with navigator Ulrik Hasle.

2001 Class-3b Team Kellox
In 2001 Pal started to race in the Offshore Category. In a Argo Catamaran he raced in the Kellox/Tohatsu racing team together with Norwegian navigator Ulrik Hasle. They won many races and got a silver medal in the European Championship in Finland.

Pal countinued together with Italian Mare Magnum team in 1999 season, but now one step up to Formula 3. A international world series with lot of history and great racing. Pal raced a Hungarian HSV hull with a OMC Evinrude 850ccm engine with unlimited tuning.

1997 Formula 4
This season was very good with National Champion crown and a positive curve during the season. Pal drove a Danish Molgaard boat with a 850ccm SELVA engine. A good package (if the engine last the whole race). Pal learned at least a lot about engines this year.

1996 Sport-550
A great year with many victories in a new boat. Pal got bronze meadal in U.I.M European Championship in Poland. He got also silver in Nowegian Championship and won the Norwegian cup in total. Pal drove a finish made boat by Niemi and a Tohatsu engine.

Pals first season in a catamaran class. A new boat from Primo Gardin in Italy and a Tohatsu engine. Pal drove Norwegian races together with European championship in Poland. He was the best Norwegian driver there with a 5th place.

1994-1993 T-400
Pals first year of racing in boats. After eight years with his own boat, practice alone, he could start to really compete. The first seasons was not so good but Pal did not loose the Spirit to go on futher.

Pal started with his own boat at age 10. He had a smal Draco 8 feet with 3,5 Suzuki horsepower engine. He had also his own boat place for it near a beach in Sandefjord, Norway.
