We can today confirm that Pal Virik Nilsen and ex F1H2O star driver Massimo Roggiero from Italy is ready for Class-1 "PEARL QATAR GRAND PRIX" 14 - 17 march together. They will join the Italian D'ALESSIO-SCAM team.

The Norwegian - Italian outfit will be in the Victory made catamaran powered by two Scam Lamborghini engines. Massimo from just ouside Milan Italy, has a huge career behind him in Formula circuit racing. He is also a successful founder and builder of the BABA formula boat brand. The race in Qatar will be his debut in the Class-1 world series.

Worth mentioning is that Roggiero won the world championship in S-850 (Formula 4) class back in 1994. In fact Pål did exactly the same thing 4 years later in 1998. Now they will share the cockpit in a class-1 boat.

Pål says: This sport is much about experience, so i feel quite privileged to be offered C1 seat time. This time i am very exited to introduce Massimo to this category of powerboating and will do my best to "teach" him the difference it is to . Everybody knows we are not in the fastest boat but we must only look at our own lap times during the event. If we have a positive progress during it we should be happy. I really look forward to race in Doha, working with the team/Massimo and start the 2012 season.
