After a year with many issues like technical problems, crashes and other things it was nice for Pål to end the season with a win in the Australian Superboat series and a podium finish in the season WC final in Dubai. Now its a well deserved break from powerboating before 2012 season kicks off in march. Read more about Pål´s comments.
Pål says: In terms of performance this season has been like a roller coaster. In Australia we won all races that we completed so thats a good thing. But when durability of the equipment is pore its not easy to perform in any championship series. We have learned a lot and hopefully we can turn that into something special for 2012. Class-1 in Australia is history and now the series focus on the 525 class in the future. Thats a really good move and i wish all teams, people and supporters good luck with that! Congratulations to Maritimo 15 with their Aus1 title!
After almost four years in Australia it really feels like my second home.
I have so many nice memories that will stay with me forever. Big thanks to Maritimo Australia with all crew for 2011 season and the past. A special thanks to Bill, Lesley and Tom for taking care of me at every trip to Australia.
In the world championship i had also a great fun. The first half of the season was quite bad and thats history. The last two races with Victory team and Giorgio Manuzzi was very nice.
The podium result did make a great end to this season. Many thanks again to Giorgio and every crew in Victory team. Cogratulation with the title 2011!
Now i look forward to a winterbrake and some days away from racing. The plan for 2012 is still under construction so we will come back with info soon.
