Pal Virik Nilsen and San Marino pilot Giorgio Manuzzi will race under Victory team boat #7 in the two final WC races in Dubai 8-10 december. The Dubai based team will run a two boat lineup for the close battle for the 2011 title.
VICTORY team has a huge history in powerboat racing with their famous blue boats. The team has 10 world championships under their belt and have a fair chance to their 11th this season. Pal and Giorgio will run Victory 7.
Pal says: After the big dissapointment in the start of the Class-1 world series this year i am very happy to be able to end the season with Victory team on their home waters. Victory is a legend team in the history of Class-1 and its in fact a honour to join them. My father worked in Dubai for Jotun in the early 90´s and we got a visit on the old Victory workshop. Already then 20 years ago i had a dream to join the team.
This suits very good with my regular programme with Maritimo Australia who is not in the world championship this year. I hope we can do a good job in Dubai and i look forward to race the boat and work with the team.
