Best time in pole

In todays pole position before the main race tomorrow, Pal Virik Nilsen and Tom Barry-Cotter in Mustang Aus 1 posted the fastest lap ahead of team mates Luke Durman and Ross Willaton in Maritimo 15. It was a challenging timetrail with big waves outside. Third was Jaeger Group 19.

If the weather stays like this the crew and equipment gets really a hard race tomorrow. The race is lasting for one hour so reliability and guts will play a major role.

Pal says: Yes it was fun outside. Our boat was running quite well but it was a little light in the front even when i was trimming it to my best. So we had our moments out there. Anyway, now we just need to adjust the balance and i think we are ready for action tomorrow. It will be hard race outside and a long race, but i think this conditions is really what offshore is all about.
