Maritimo 11 got a fourth place in todays Romanian GP. A action filled race saw many incidents. Pal and Tom got a good start from 4th place on the grid. After first lap the third place was in their hands, but in the end of the race they had a spinout and lost the place.
Pal says: We should be happy, but this day i think most on the crash to our team mates Peter McGrath & Giorgio Manuzzi in Maritimo 12 who barrel rolled the boat in the race. The crew is okay but the boat needs repairs and will not race tomorrow.
For ourself it was a hard race to keep the boat not doing the same as #12. In the first half of the race it was okay and we gained some positions. But the last five-six laps was really a nightmare. Big troubble in almost every corner gave a spinout result on lap 10. With only two laps left we lost the podium place. Quite dissapointed but thats racing. We have a new chance tomorrow and we will try a revenge then. Overall the team did a great job after yesterdays problems. Enginewise it worked good. Handling issues needs to be repaired soon as possible. We are positive before tomorrows GP and gladly we are in 3rd place in the world championship standings.
